Chris Hnilo
Class of 1990
Chris Hnilo was a 4 year varsity softball star for Comstock and one of the greatest softball players ever at CHS. She was a dominant pitcher, slick fielding shortstop, and outstanding clutch hitter! She was the one you wanted pitching to get the big outs and at the plate to get the winning hit! Chris had a tremendous career highlighted by her final year where she achieved 1st team All-State, led her team to the Greater Kalamazoo championship and was named tournament MVP! Her 4-year stats are impressive and legendary!
Chris was a reserved yet influential leader earning deep respect not only from her coaches and teammates but also from her opponents and their coaches. It was an honor to coach Chris and see her excel through the years and I couldn’t be prouder to see her receive her due as a Comstock High School Athletic Hall of Famer. Congrats Chris and thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the Comstock softball program!
