The 68-5 overall record speaks volumes, but the true legacy of this remarkable team goes far beyond the numbers. Character, camaraderie, and selflessness defined every step of the journey. With a flawless 39-0 mark against Class B competition and an undefeated 12-0 run through the Wolverine Conference, this group proved time and again that excellence is earned through dedication, unity, and heart. Champions of the Portage Northern Coca-Cola Classic, Gull Lake Invitational, Comstock Colt Classic, Greater Kalamazoo Tournament, and Wolverine Conference, these ten student athletes carried their momentum through District and Regional play to ultimately capture the M.H.S.A.A. Class B State Championship—finishing
first among 170 schools statewide. In a rare, fitting, and powerful tribute to their collective spirit, the entire team was honored with the Most Valuable, Most Improved, and Most Spirited Player Awards. This unforgettable season is not just a story of winning—it’s a testament to what can be achieved when individuals come together as one.
