3-2 - Comstock 38 - Marshall 58
The varsity girls basketball team ended their season with a tough loss to Marshall 58-38. The girls finished the 1st quarter at a 12-12 tie and then had a rough 2nd quarter going into the half down 17. Ahkyla Blakely led the Colts with 16 points and Katie Leaders had 12. Katie Leaders also set a school record going 8/8 from the free throw line for a game. The Colts look to regroup and hopefully come back even stronger for next season.

2-23 - Comstock 57 - Paw Paw 51
The varsity girls basketball team traveled to Paw Paw and came away with a win 57-51. Caylin Lopez led the way with 15 points followed by Daisy Ansel with 14 and Ahkyla Blakely with 13. The Colts had to have a big 4th quarter to pull out the win. Katie Leaders led the way in the 4th quarter with 7 points including 5/5 from the free throw line. Katie also pulled down 10 rebounds and played tough defense. This brings their record to 12-7 with their last game on Thursday vs Bronson.
2-19 - Comstock 60 - Bridgman 39
The varsity girls basketball team won their 11th game of the season beating Bridgman 60-39. Caylin Lopez led the Colts with 16 points while Daisy Ansel and Katie Leaders scored 15 and 12 points. It was a tight game through the first half. The girls started the 2nd half with a 15-0 run and never looked back. Abby House came through with her biggest night of the year scoring 8 points in the win.
2-17 - Comstock 49 - Harper Creek 55
The varsity girls basketball team played as hard as they could but it wasn't enough to beat Harper Creek who won 55-49. The Colts lead at halftime 19-16 but early in the 3rd quarter, Ahkyla Blakely hurt her ankle which made things more difficult for the Colts. The other girls responded with a hard fought performance. Daisy Ansel scored 26 points which included 7 3's and now owns the school record for 3's made in a game. Caylin Lopez also chipped in 13. Miranda Cannon, Arreona Blakely and Katie Leaders played tough in the post on defense. We did honor our seniors before the game as they are closing out their career. Congratulations to Katie Leaders, Abigail Schreiner and Mikala Sims for their effort and dedication throughout their 4 year careers.

2-5 - Comstock 46 - Buchanan 70
The varsity girls basketball team lost to a tough Buchanan team 70-46. Daisy Ansel led the Colts with 15 points followed by 14 points for Ahkyla Blakely. Katie Leaders notched 6 points and 10 boards. The girls battled the entire game getting back within 9 points early in the 3rd quarter before running out of steam.
2-2 - Comstock 67 - Allegan 52
The varsity girls basketball team beat Allegan last night 67-52. Daisy Ansel led the Colts with 21 points followed by Caylin Lopez with 18 and Ahkyla Blakely with 17. Katie Leaders also chipped in 7 and had 9 rebounds. The 15-16 Colts set a team school record hitting 10 3's in the game and are on pace to break more school records. Miranda Cannon, Selena Alvarado, Abby House and Arreona Blakely also provided some points, rebounds and great defense. Taylor Wells, Abby Schreiner and Mikala Sims continue to be energy and spirit to the team.

1-21 - Comstock 31 - Brandywine 53
The varsity girls basketball team ran into a tough Brandywine team last Thursday and lost 53-31. The score doesn't reflect a lot of the good things the girls did throughout the night. Daisy Ansel led the team with 10 points hitting 2 more 3's putting her season total to 29. Caylin Lopez also hit 2 3's to put her season total to 19. While we still have some things to work on to get better, there was very good communication on defense and the team overall never gave up.
1-19 - Comstock 50 - Schoolcraft 42
The varsity girls basketball team beat a good schoolcraft team 50-42 last night. The girls now have a record of 6-3. The girls led from the start of the game and never relinquished the lead. Caylin Lopez had a big night with 20 points while Daisy Ansel and Ahkyla Blakely scored 11 each. Tomorrow night is a big game against a very good Brandywine team and we'd love all the support we can get.

1-8 - Comstock 53 - Parchment 48
The varsity girls basketball team beat Parchment on Friday 53-48. Ahkyla Blakely led the Colts with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Daisy Ansel hit 5 3's for 15 points and had 6 rebounds. Caylin Lopez also chipped in 11 and Katie Leaders had 11 rebounds. The girls played with much more intensity on the defensive end and it showed in a tight game. Miranda Cannon, Selena Alvarado and Abby House also played key roles in the victory.

12-15 - Comstock 42 - Galesburg-Augusta 55
The Varsity girls basketball team lost to Galesburg 55-42 last night. Daisy Ansel led the Colts with 18 points which included 4 3-pointers and 6 rebounds. Caylin Lopez also hit 4 3-pointers to finish with 12 points on the night. The Colts will rebound against Buchanan on Friday night.
12-11 - Comstock 46 - Berrien Springs 28
The varsity girls basketball team beat Berrien Springs on Friday 46-28. Katie Leaders got the Colts rolling scoring the 1st 9 points of the game leading to a 16 point 16 rebound performance. Ahkyla Blakely had a great all around game having 17 points, 4 steals 4 assists and 5 rebounds. Daisy Ansel hit 2 more 3's and also had 5 steals and 8 rebounds. Miranda Cannon, Caylin Lopez and Selena Alvarado also played key roles in the victory. The girls play Galesburg at home tomorrow night.
12-4 - Comstock 44 - Brandywine 48
The varsity girls bball team traveled to Brandywine and lost a close one 44-48. Caylin Lopez and Daisy Ansel led all scorers with 12 points with Daisy hitting 4 three pointers. Katie Leaders also chipped in 10 points and led the team with 7 assists. Miranda Cannon grabbed a team high 6 rebounds. There was a lot of positive to take from this game vs a team that went to the quarterfinals last year.

The varsity girls basketball team beat Vicksburg 57-38 last night behind strong performances across the board. Ahkyla Blakely and Katie Leaders led the way with 14 points and Caylin Lopez chipped in 13. Daisy Ansel had 7 points and led the team in rebounds with 8. Miranda Cannon did a great job playing defense. Selena Alvarado's energy and Arreona Blakely's presence inside also added to the great evening.
