Stacy Stanton

Stacy Stanton

Class of 1991

Stacy Stanton (Crawford) was one of the most accomplished athletes at Comstock High School. Stacy earned 4 varsity letters in basketball, volleyball and softball and one varsity letter in track for a remarkable 13 varsity letters for her prep career. She was not only a great individual performer but elevated the play of her teammates to assist in winning 10 Wolverine Conference, 9 District, 5 Regional and 3 State Championships. Stacy was an outstanding competitor with an intense desire to excel and to make every showing her best showing. To compete at a high level requires a lot of work and Stacy was more than willing to put in the hard hours outside of the season so she could be the type of competitor she demanded of herself. Because of her competitiveness and her extraordinary athletic talents the “never met a shot I didn’t like” attitude was exactly the outlook a coach wanted her to possess. Stacy was also a member of National Honor Society and recipient of the B’nai B’rith Female Scholar Athlete of the Year. Stacey is married to Chris Crawford and has a daughter named Sophie.Written by Jim Kordupel
