Principal's Message

Dear North Parents, Family and Friends,

We are thrilled to be teaching your son/daughter this school year. Our goal is to provide our students with the best education in a safe learning environment. We love teaching your children, and have only the highest expectations for their performance. Our students participate in a comprehensive curriculum, which emphasizes reading, writing, mathematics, problem solving, and respect for themselves and all others.

We are excited to tell you that we have begun our journey to become a Leader in Me Lighthouse School. This curriculum is based on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Steven Covey.  It focuses on leadership habits that will encourage and grow each individual child’s strengths. We are overjoyed to be sharing these habits with your child; we want your students to feel a sense of belonging when they enter the school doors, and feel supported as they strive to reach the high expectations set for them.

Choose North Because...

Caring, Committed Staff
Our staff is caring, involved, and highly educated. We are committed to our students AND our families.

We’re Empowering Leaders
At North Elementary, we are empowering leaders by focusing on student strengths and teaching the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People — The Leader in Me!

In addition to our school’s two computer labs, we also have projectors and iPads in every classroom. Our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders are using Chromebooks, and we offer a Technology special class which is led by a teacher with a Masters in Educational Technology.

Preschool to Kindergarten with Ease
We have 6 preschool classes to help make an easy transition to kindergarten by learning the routines and procedures of North prior to enrolling in Kindergarten.

Our Aesthetic Education certified staff helps all students experience different works of art through discovery-based viewings.
